My name is Max and I wanted to take this oppourtunity to tell you all a little about us and our concept.
Offcutz.com was started in December 2010 and is based in the West Midlands. Although Offcutz.com is a new website we are not new to the industry.
Before starting Offcutz.com I was an employee to a company for 10 years who supplied Aluminium and various other metals to suppliers and businesses across the UK. Their customers would buy a piece of aluminium and the off cut was put on the shelf in the hope that a customer would want to buy that piece of metal. As the company mainly supplied large sheets, plates and bars their customers were not interested in small off cuts.
I found that a lot of suppliers that we use had the same problem and were all accumulating off cuts which were too good to be scrapped. All of the metal that you see on this site are from various Aluminium supplier shelves and are ready and waiting to be distributed.
I also noted that the some customers wanted to buy Aluminium with no hassle. They didn't want to have to speak to anyone, ask awkward questions, set up credit accounts. They knew what specification they needed, their budget and just wanted to be able to log on to the internet and order.
This is why I decided to start Offcutz.com, the website is designed for our customer's who include artist, crafts people and designers, engineering firms, educational establishments, building maintenance workshops, hobbyist and DIY enthusiast. We have tried to make the website simple and quick to use.
What you see is what you get here at Offcutz.com and because we have low overheads we can offer very low prices and a quick delivery.
